Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What types of therapy do you offer?

We provide individual therapy for children, teens, adults, couples, and families. Services may include support for anxiety, depression, trauma, eating disorders, OCD, stress, life transitions, relationship concerns, emotional regulation, and personal growth. Treatment is always tailored to each client’s needs and goals.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes. We accept many major insurance plans. Coverage can vary depending on your specific plan, so we recommend contacting your insurance provider to understand your mental health benefits.

Which insurance plans do you accept?

We work with a variety of insurance companies. Because plans and networks change, please contact our office directly or check with your insurance provider to confirm whether we are in-network for your plan.

What if my insurance is out-of-network?

If we are out-of-network with your insurance, you may still choose to work with us. Many plans offer out-of-network benefits. We can provide documentation (often called a superbill) that you can submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement.

How much does therapy cost?

Session fees vary depending on the type and length of service. If you are using insurance, your cost will depend on your copay, coinsurance, or deductible. We are happy to discuss fees and payment options before your first appointment.

How do I know if therapy is right for me?

Therapy can be helpful if you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, stressed, or simply want support in understanding yourself better. You do not need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. Many people use therapy as a proactive step toward well-being.

What can I expect in the first session?

The first session focuses on getting to know you. We’ll talk about what brings you to therapy, your goals, and any questions you have. It’s also a chance for you to see if the therapist feels like a good fit.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes. Therapy is confidential, with limited exceptions required by law (such as safety concerns or abuse reporting). Your therapist will explain confidentiality and its limits clearly during your first session.

Do you offer in-person or virtual sessions?

We may offer in-person sessions, telehealth (online therapy), or both, depending on availability and client preference. Virtual sessions are conducted through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform.

How long does each session last?

Standard therapy sessions typically last around 50 minutes. Session length and frequency are discussed during the intake process and can be adjusted as needed.

How often will I attend therapy?

Most clients attend weekly or biweekly sessions, especially at the beginning. Frequency can change over time based on your goals, progress, and schedule.

How do I get started?

To get started, contact our office by phone or email, or use our online contact form. We’ll help you with scheduling, insurance verification, and next steps.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

We ask for advance notice (24 hours) for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations or missed appointments may be subject to a fee, depending on our policy.
